| Leopards and other cats are fairly common. Grevy's zebra and the reticulated giraffe are particularly marked and can only be seen in Samburu. Other animals include elephants, greater kudu, gerenuk, oryx, Somali ostrich and the vulturine guinea fowl. | Accommodation: The camp has 17 tents, all facing the river, each shaded by palm trees and named for a bird. All rooms have an ensuite bathroom.
