STT E005: The Best of Egypt - Nile Cruise with Hurghada
Extension (10 days)
Day 1: Cairo.
Morning arrival in Cairo, be met by our representative
and assisted at Cairo airport, then be transferred to
check into your hotel. Afternoon tour of the pyramids and
the Sphinx. Thereafter return to the Hotel for Dinner and
overnight at Ramses Hilton, Sheraton Heliopolis, Cairo
Marriot or Hyatt Regency.
Day 2: Cairo|Luxor.
Breakfast, then transfer to Cairo airport to connect domestic
flight to Aswan to board the
Nile Cruise. Flight time is 1 hour 15 minutes. Upon
arrival at Aswan, you will be met by our representative
and transferred for Cruise check-in before lunch. View of
the Elephantine Island by felucca (sailing boat) and
visit the Aga Khan Mausoleum. Overnight in Aswan.
Day 3: Aswan|Kom Ombo|Edfu. Visit the High Dam and the
temple of Philae. Sail to Kom Ombo. Afternoon visit to
the temple shared by the two ancient gods Sobek and
Haroeris. Sail to Edfu and overnight there.
Day 4: Edfu|
Esna|Luxor. Visit the temple of Horus in Edfu. Sail
to Esna and cross the lock. Sail to Luxor and overnight
there.
Day 5: Luxor.
Cross to the West Bank. Visit the Necropolis of
Thebes, Valley of the Kings, the temple of Queen
Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon. Visit to the temple
of Karnak and the temple of Luxor. Overnight in Luxor.
Day 6:
Luxor|Hurghada. Disembark from the cruise after
breakfast, be met and transferred to Hurghada by Motor
Coach (3 hour drive). Check into your hotel and spend the
day at leisure. Dinner and overnight at Hurghada Hilton
or Le Meridien, Melia Pharoah or Helnan Regina Hotel.
Day 7: Hurghada.
Spend the day at leisure relaxing on the beach.
Dinner and overnight at Hilton Hurghada, Le Meridien,
Melia Pharoah or Helnan Regina Hotel.
Day 8: Hurghada.
Spend the day at leisure relaxing on the beach or
shopping. Dinner and overnight at Hurghada Hilton, Le
Meridien, Melia Pharoah or Helnan Regina Hotel.
Day 9:
Hurghada|Cairo. After breakfast, transfer to Hurghada
airport for flight back to Cairo, where you will be met
and transferred to check in at your hotel. Afternoon tour
of the Egyptian Museum. Dinner at the floating
restaurant. Overnight at Ramses Hilton, Sheraton
Heliopolis, Cairo Marriot or Hyatt Regency.
Day 10: Check
out from the hotel after breakfast and transfer to the
airport if taking morning flight, otherwise a late check
out can be arranged, giving you time for a day trip to
the Citadel-Mohammed Aly mosque, the coptic area and
Bazaar. Later, transfer to the airport at leisure for
departure.
