Day 1: Meet and greet and transfer to Fort Portal which nestles in the
shadow of the fabled" Mountains of the Moon". Afternoon visit to
Bigodi swamp to search for smaller mammals and primates. Highlights are
finding the rare red colobus monkey and the sitatunga. Dinner and
overnight at Kibale Tented Camp.
Day 2: Full day search of chimpanzee and 10 other primates including l'
hoestes, red colobus, blues, red tailed and gray cheeked mangabey. The
guide will provide detailed explanations, not only on primates, but also
on all the forest fauna and flora and will ensure that your walk is both
informative and enjoyable.
Day 3:
Proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park following the mystical
Ruwenzori Mountain range for much of the journey. A game drive en route
may be rewarded with views of lion, elephant, leopard, buffalo, hyena and
a variety of antelope species. After lunch, enjoy the unique 2-hour boat
cruise on the Kazinga Channel and into Lake Edward. This trip passes
through possibly the highest concentration of hippos and many animals may
be seen drinking at the water's edge. This launch cruise offers an
excellent platform for photography, bird watching and game viewing. The
prolific bird life is colorful and stupendous with well over 550 resident
species. Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge.
Day 4: Two game drives today. Queen Elizabeth National Park's diverse
Eco-system of grassy plains, tropical forest, rivers, swamps, lakes and
volcanic craters is home to an incredible abundance of wildlife. Game dr
ives in this park, with the massive Rwenzoris as a backdrop provides
excellent opportunities to see lion, leopard, giant forest hog, Cape
buffalo, elephants, defassa waterbuck, Uganda Kob, Topi and bushbuck.
These two game drives and the boat trip (taken prior) are memorable
methods of discovering a vast array of Ugandan wildlife. Dinner and
overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge.
Day 5: Drive through the "Switzerland of Africa" area known
as the Kigezi Highlands with its terraced hillside and winding roads to
Kisoro or Bwindi. Dinner/overnight at Volcano Tented Camp.
Day 6: Early morning entry into Gorilla sanctuary. This rainforest is
spectacular. It offers a dramatic steeply forested landscape and is
incredibly dense, but criss-crossed by numerous animal trails allowing
access to tourists. Mammals recorded include the endangered mountain
gorilla, rare golden monkey, buffalo, elephant, black-fronted duiker,
bushbuck, leopard, giant forest log and others. This park is best known
for the fascinating gorillas. The time taken and the terrain varies
according to the movements of this marvelous primates. The thrill of
spending time and observing the gorillas is a rare, moving, awesome and
exciting adventure. The gorilla is a shy and peaceful animal and it is
unforgettable experience to watch and photograph them as they interact.
Dinner and overnight at Volcano Tented Camp.
Day 7: Leisurely drive back to Kampala with a stopover in Mbarara for
Lunch.

STT U012: Murchison Falls | Kibale
Forest | Queen Elizabeth National Park (7
days)
Day 1: Begin the panoramic drive north-west through the famous Luwero Triangle
and Masindi Town to Murchison Falls National Park arriving in time for a
picnic lunch at the spectacularly situated site at the top of the Falls
where you can see the Nile's beauty perfected! Marvel at the Nile,
compressing from 50 meters to squeeze through a 6 metre canyon dropping 40
metres with a thunderous roar creating a beautiful rainbow, a plume of
spray and the best thing that happened to the Nile..."The Murchison
Falls". Enjoy the sunset as you return to the lodge. Enjoy the superb
comfort and service of Paraa Safari Lodge.
Day 2: Cross the placid Victoria Nile to the northern
bank. Your guide will
help you spot Elephant, Lion, Cape buffalo, Rothschild's giraffe, hartebeest, Waterbuck, Oribi, Bushbuck, Bohor reedbuck, hyena and if you
are lucky, the leopard. After a packed lunch picnic, go for a boat safari
upstream the calm Victoria Nile to the base of the falls stopping just
tens of metres from the "Devil's Cauldron". En-route, marvel
at the toothsome hippos, crocodiles and over this 17 km stretch you may
see elephant, waterbuck and Uganda Kob. This is also a zone of many bird
species like Goliath heron, Egyptian goose, pelican bee-eater, kingfisher,
hornbill, cormorant and the rare shoebill stork.
Day 3: All day drive south via Hoima to Fort Portal through verdant
countryside and past traditional homesteads and farms. Fort-Portal rests
in the shadow of the fabled Mountains of the Moon. Dinner and overnight at
Kibale Tented Camp.

STT U013: Chimps and all the
Gorillas (7
days)
Day 1: Meet and greet at 0800 hrs. Drive west, with a stopover at the Equator
for photos, through volcanic formations of the Western Rift Valley towards
Queen Elizabeth National Park. The descent reveals a stunning panorama of
Lakes George and Edward amidst game-filled plains. In the evening, proceed
for a unique 2-hour boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel and into Lake
Edward. The trip passes through possibly the highest hippo concentration
in Africa and many mammals may be seen drinking at the water's edge. The
cruise offers an excellent platform for photography and game viewing. The
bird life is colorful and abundant. Return for dinner and overnight at Mweya
Safari Lodge that is beautifully situated on a bluff overlooking the
Kazinga Channel .
Day 2: Queen Elizabeth National Park's diverse Eco-system of grassy plains,
tropical forest, rivers, swamps, lakes and volcanic craters is home to an
incredible abundance of wildlife. An early morning walk in the
spectacular Kyambura Gorge provides excellent opportunities to see
chimpanzees, l'hoestes, red colobus, black and white colobus and
more. After a picnic lunch, transfer to Bwindi impenetrable Forest. Dinner
and overnight stay at Volcano Tented Camp.
Day 3: Early morning entry into the Gorilla Sanctuary. This rainforest is
spectacular. It offers a dramatic steeply forested landscape and is
